50 random facts about me

There have been alot of blog posts out there recently about 50 random facts so I thought I would enlighten you all with 50 random facts about me.

1. I have to have diet coke/ Pepsi max every day, it's a vice!
2.  I have worn glasses since I was 2 and a half years old.
3. I once won a competition when I was 11 to have a poem published in a book, I still have the book somewhere.
4. I do not like mushrooms at all! I have tried them in various forms but my taste buds still do not like them.
5. If you asked me what I would like to eat right now I would say pulled pork nachos with lots of cheese :) mmmmm!
6. My first ever cassette album was Dance 1993!
7. I have a degree in History with journalism.
8. I was nearly named Joanna (after Joanna Lumley)
9. Mint choc chip is my favourite ice cream flavour.
10. I don't have a favourite colour, I like them all.
11. I would really like to own a Volkswagen Beetle one day.
12. I always thought the phrase was 'Never kick a gift horse in the mouth', I only found out recently that it's not!
13. I have one younger sister who is a personal trainer.
14. I have a diamond shaped birthmark on my ankle.
15. My motto is a girl can never have too many bags : )
16. If I eat a Boost or Milky Way crispy rolls I have to eat the outside chocolate layer first and then eat the inside separately.
17. I wish it could be pancake day every day.
18. I can't dive and probably will never be able to. Tom Daley your job is safe!
19. I once got stung by a Weaver fish when I was a child. It is not a pleasant experience. My leg went numb for awhile.
20. I will be 27 in July this year.
21. I have been keeping diaries since I was 13. Some of the entries are quite cringe worthy to look back on.
22. My parents used to refer to me as Little Miss Sunshine when I was a child.
23. My hair once went green when I dyed it. A bottle of fairy washing up liquid saved me from a hair disaster.
24. I have a slight vampire obsession. I love The Twilight series, Vampire Diaries and True Blood.
25. I have had type 1 diabetes since I was 12.
26. When I was in infant school I had a pet called Billy the Ant, yes he was an ant!
27. I'm scared of wolves, foxes, spiders, snakes and sharks. Anything that can bite or eat me : (
28. I'm quite clumsy and accident prone.
29. Winter is my favourite season, there is nothing better than going for a walk on a cold frost sunny day.
30. The best live act I have ever seen was Jon Bon Jovi at the O2 in London
31. The night I met my husband we were both dressed in 70s fancy dress.
32. I have one pet, his name is Marshall and he is a Guinea Pig. He is our little fluffy baby : )
33. I went to see my first ever football match aged 5. It was Wrexham V's Liverpool. From that point onwards I was a Wrexham fan.
34. My second home is Manchester. I think it is an amazing city!
35. I still dream that one day I will work at Glamour Magazine.
36. I once laughed so much as a child that I threw up my dinner back onto the plate. It was a low point for me.
37. I have three stars tattooed on my lower back.
38. As a teenager my favourite item of clothing was my dark blue denim jacket (B*Witched anyone?)
39. I love music from across the decades. I went through a phase of only listening to Heartbeat albums when I was 10.
40. I hate cleaning with a passion, it's lucky I married someone who loves to tidy.
41. I love to cook and try new foods.
42. I can't cut in a straight line using scissors. I would never make a good hairdresser.
43. I started this blog on 1st August 2011, I still can't get over how many countries view it.
44. I once visited a Michelin Starred restaurant in Edinburgh called the Witchery. I was in heaven and would love to go back.
45. I can count in Welsh, French and Spanish and of course English.
46. I love having my back scratched, there is always an itch.
47. My favourite tipple is a Gin and slim line tonic with a wedge of lime.
48. The furthest I have ever travelled is to America, I would like to go back one day.
49. One of my favourite films is Desperately seeking Susan.
50. When I am older I would like to have a nice cottage in the countryside with a big roaring fire.
